Katabi Town Council is supporting the National Immunization Campaign against Measles and Rubella, running from 1st to 5th October 2026 under the theme “Protecting the Young Generation for a Healthier Uganda.”
The campaign targets children aged 9 months to 59 months, and parents and guardians across Katabi Town Council are encouraged to ensure that all eligible children receive the vaccine.
Measles and Rubella are vaccine-preventable diseases that can cause serious complications. The campaign aims to strengthen protection among young children and reduce the risk of disease within our communities.
Vaccination will be available at LC I offices and designated VHT information points during the campaign period. Parents and guardians may contact their area councillor, LC I chairperson or Village Health Team (VHT) representative for information about the nearest vaccination point.
The vaccination is free, and residents are encouraged to support the campaign by sharing information with families and ensuring that eligible children are presented for immunization.
Katabi Town Council joins health authorities, community leaders and residents in supporting efforts to protect children and build healthier communities.
