Katabi Town Council is currently supporting an ongoing community campaign to distribute mosquito nets to residents across the Town Council.
The campaign is aimed at increasing access to mosquito nets among households and strengthening community efforts to prevent malaria.
Residents are encouraged to participate in the distribution exercise and make use of the mosquito nets provided to protect themselves and their families from mosquito bites, particularly during sleeping hours.
Parents and guardians are encouraged to give special attention to children, while pregnant women and other vulnerable members of the community should also be prioritised in household malaria prevention efforts.
Katabi Town Council calls upon community members to cooperate with health workers, Village Health Teams (VHTs), local leaders and other personnel involved in the distribution exercise.
Residents are encouraged to follow information provided by their local leaders and health teams regarding distribution points, schedules and eligibility.
Katabi Town Council remains committed to supporting community health initiatives and working with residents and health stakeholders to promote a healthier and safer community.
